UKRAINIAN HOMOSEXUALS & SOCIETY: a reciprocation
This brochure contains various information reflecting the social, legal and political position of sexual minority citizens in modern Ukraine. Included are data determined by a sociological poll; speeches by state, political and public figures; and an analysis of publications on this subject that appeared in the mass-media. The reader will also find the results of our monitoring the observance of gay rights, as well as an overall picture of the life of homosexuals in our country.

GAY RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS. Report about discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation in Ukraine
This report contains the information regarding discrimination of gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people (GLBT) in Ukraine. The results of the survey of GLBT-community members, typical examples of discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation, analysis of legal issues, public opinion research etc are published in the report.
The book would be of use for Human Rights and other non-governmental organizations, lawyers, sociologists, public servants and journalists.

BLUE BOOK. The situation of gay men and lesbians in Ukraine
The publication covers a wide spectrum of issues concerning the life of homosexuals in our country. It tells about the history, the society’s attitude towards gays and lesbians, the development of the gay movement; it analyzes the issues of social interactions within the gay community. It also provides a comparative analysis of the change of situation for homosexuals domestically and abroad.
For the preparation of this book the Nash Mir (Our World) Center conducted a research on this topic (the first of its kind in Ukraine). We gathered documentary materials, press publications, conducted a survey among gays and lesbians, made an analysis of the legislation.
The English-language edition contains excerpts from the book, which may be of interest to a foreign reader.
ИНФОРМАЦИОННО-ПРОСВЕТИТЕЛЬСКИЙ ЖУРНАЛ "НАШ МИР"
В Луганске с 1997 по конец 1999 года было выпущено 9-ть номеров этого небольшого журнала, который был частью проекта "Информирование и просвещение по вопросам гомосексуальности как аспект демократизации общества в Украине". Это общественная инициатива, нацеленная на развенчание страхов и стереотипов, которые бытуют у среднего человека по поводу гомосексуальности и людей гомосексуальной ориентации, с одной стороны. С другой – на социально-психологическую поддержку и ободрение самих геев и лесбиянок. Мы стремились подтолкнуть их к интеграции в общество именно как людей с отличающейся сексориентацией. Тем самым сделать их жизнь более свободной и полноценной. Мы ставили перед собой задачу помочь всему обществу понять и с пониманием принять НАС – его неотъемлемую часть.
Для журнала "Наш мир" мы подбирали разноплановую труднодоступную для многих информацию, касающуюся гомосексуальности. В нем публиковались результаты различных исследований в данной области, проблемные статьи, информация о жизни геев и лесбиянок в Украине и в мире, которую мы собирали по крупицам. Аннотации книг, фильмов, затрагивающих данную тему, библиографические заметки и другие материалы по социальным, историческим, юридическим вопросам.
Наша общественная организация выросла из этого небольшого черно-белого самиздатовского издания.
